Snehankit Helpline is a non-government organization working towards empowering the visually impaired youth especially the students. Founded on 21st August 2001, by Ms. Parimala Bhat, it is a registered trust under the Bombay Charitable Trust Act (1950). Its main objective is to provide a variety of services to assist visually impaired students in their education and all round development, enabling them to lead successful careers and lives. Snehankit Helpline commenced its activities in Mumbai with the Audio Books Project, which continues to be one of the major activity of the organisation along with other projects.
Snehankit Helpline aims to provide strength to the visually impaired to face challenges thereby enabling them to lead a life of dignity.
Reach out to every visually impaired youth in remote areas through our varied services and provide learning opportunities in various fields so as to enable them to compete with the mainstream, acquire good jobs and to help the overall development of the individual.
