On 22nd Feb 2026, the revision cooking class was a wonderful reminder of how much progress our students are making. The session focused on reinforcing basic kitchen skills learned throughout the month and the results were truly encouraging!

Our students confidently and independently peeled and cut cucumbers, carrots, and potatoes, showing excellent retention and growing self-belief.
They then learned faster, more efficient techniques for shelling peas - a skill they picked up remarkably well.
Finally, they practiced cutting onions, showing great improvement and growing confidence.

With the shelled peas and chopped potatoes, our trainer prepared a comforting pot of khichadi, enjoyed together by everyone. One of our dedicated volunteers, Kirti, also fried the potatoes, adding to the joy (and taste!) of the day.
The session also included an important discussion on everyday kitchen management:
• How to clean the kitchen properly
• How to organize and maintain the refrigerator
• How to store vegetables correctly
• How to identify spoiled vegetables

Help us amplify skill development that shapes confidence, independence, and brighter futures one step at a time. Follow us on:
